James C. Carr

Jim is the President of CornerCap Investment Counsel. Prior to joining the firm in 1996, he had been actively engaged in the practice of law for more than 25 years. Jim has been a close associate of the firm since 1992 as a client and as a consultant in matters relating to securities and estate planning. He is a frequent lecturer on topics related to total return trusts and investment techniques within various financial planning vehicles. Jim is responsible for establishing the policies and objectives of the firm as they relate to client development. He holds a JD from Emory University and a BS in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute. He is a member of the Atlanta and American Bar Associations, State Bar of Georgia, and Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
