John Allen Hackney, III

John is Director of Operations. John and his staff's broad responsibilities include maintaining and reporting accurate client account data. The Operations group also serves as transfer agent and fund accountant for the CornerCap Group of Funds, and they administer CornerCap's compliance with various federal and state regulatory authorities. John joined the firm in 1995 after working in brokerage operations. His previous position was in risk management at an Atlanta broker/dealer. John received his BA from the University of Virginia, and he holds an MA in Religion from Yale University. He enjoys gardening and home restoration in his time away from the office.
